# Repeat a schedule

> Run the same change every day, week or month, like weekend-only products or a weekly promotion.

A **Repeat** schedule is a window that happens again and again. Each window makes the changes at its start and reverts them at its end. Repeats are on the Extra and Unlimited plans.

## Set up a repeat

### 1. Choose Repeat

Under **How it runs**, choose **Repeat**.

### 2. Set the first window

**First window starts** is the date and time of the first window. Every later window starts at the same local time.

### 3. Choose how often

**Repeats**: **Daily**, **Weekly** or **Monthly**, and **Every** 1 to 365 days, weeks or months.

- Weekly: pick the days under **On**. If you choose none, it repeats on the first window's day.
- Monthly: list the **Days of the month**, like `1, 15`. Months without the day skip it.

### 4. Set how long each window lasts

**Each window lasts** a number of minutes, hours or days. Each window must end before the next one starts.

### 5. Choose when it stops

**Ends**: **Never**, **On a date** (the last window starts by then) or **After a number of times** (1 to 1,000).

Try it, and see the windows in the schedule's time zone and yours:

## Time zones and daylight saving

Every window starts at the same **wall-clock time** in the schedule's time zone, whatever the offset that day. A window from Saturday 09:00 to Monday 09:00 stays that way when the clocks change.

If a start time doesn't exist on a day (the clocks go forward through it), the window starts at the time the clock shows an hour later. If a time happens twice (the clocks go back), it uses the first one.

## How far ahead

Metascheduler plans about 30 days of windows ahead and keeps rolling forward, so a repeat that never ends keeps running. The calendar shows each window.

> **Pausing a repeat**
>
> **Pause** stops new windows from starting. A window that's live when you pause still reverts at its end.
