## Terms

| Term | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Schedule** | An entry on your calendar: a name, a timing and a list of changes. |
| **Timing** | How a schedule runs: **One time**, **Window**, **Repeat** or **Follow a rollout**. |
| **Window** | The time between a schedule's start and its end. |
| **Change** | One kind of edit to a set of items, like 20% off 140 variants. |

| **Item** | One thing a change edits: a product, variant, entry, menu, page or policy. |
| **Live** | A schedule whose changes are made right now. |
| **Revert** | Put back the value from before the schedule. |
| **Snapshot** | The value Metascheduler saved just before changing an item. |
| **Drift** | An item someone else changed while a schedule was live, so it wasn't reverted. |
| **Needs you** | The list of things waiting for your decision. |
| **Run** | One start or end of a schedule, shown in **Activity**. |
| **Rollout** | A Shopify Rollouts entry: a Launch, an Event or an Experiment. |

## Schedule statuses

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Draft** | Being set up. It never runs. |
| **Scheduled** | Waiting for its start. |
| **Live** | Its changes are made now. |
| **Paused** | Nothing new starts. Anything live still reverts at its end. |
| **Ended** | It ran, and nothing more is due. |
| **Archived** | Put away. It won't run again. |

## Run results

| Result | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Done** | Nothing failed. Items changed by someone else, or skipped, still count as done. |
| **Partly done** | Some items failed, and the rest went through. |
| **Failed** | Every item failed. |
| **Skipped** | It didn't run, for example a start whose window had already ended. |
| **Running** | It's running now, or waiting for a Shopify bulk operation. |
| **Cancelled** | It was no longer due, for example the end of a start that was skipped. |

## Item results

| Result | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Done** | Changed, or put back. |
| **Failed** | Shopify didn't accept it, or the app couldn't reach it. |
| **Changed by someone else** | Not put back, because it had changed. See [How reverting works](https://metascheduler.app/help/undo-and-drift.md). |
| **Skipped** | Nothing to do, like a revert where nothing was changed at the start. |
